The gelaterias are not to be missed either. Corfu town has many cafés, most of which line the main pedestrian street, Listón. A true Corfu experience is to watch the world go by whilst enjoying a frapp (ice-coffee drink). The more remote countryside of Corfu contrasts with the cosmopolitan type of the city. The visitor will pass landscapes that suit all tastes from secluded coves, mountaintops and lagoons to olive groves, grassy fields, shady streams and abandoned villages. In the north of the island you will be seduced by the luxurious beauty of the countryside.
